JADE DRAGON

Newly opened in May, 2011, Jade Dragon was established by a perseverant and brave young man, Qin Lin, who had nearly lost his life. In 2005, Lin opened his first restaurant, China Dragon, in Cullowhee, Sylva, North Carolina after years of hard work. However, a robbery happened to his restaurant only several months after its opening. To protect the staff of his restaurant, he rose up against the murderous robber, which resulted in two shots to Lin. Fortunately, he didn’t lose his life and the Sheriff gave him 100, 000 dollars for compensation after he was healed. Besides, he was authorized American citizenship. This accident was published by local newspaper.

He felt thankful for the local community of Sylva and that’s why he still chose the city to open Jade Dragon, which is a buffet restaurant, offering Americanized Chinese cuisine, Teriyaki, and Sushi. Over 100 items are arranged on the buffet bar. Apart from the familiar General Tso’ Chicken and Sesame chicken, the Teriyaki and all kinds of Sushi are also well received. Lin attaches great importance to service. All the staffs are quite a helper to the diners. They refill the items in a quick way and the ingredients are all kept fresh.

After the robbery, Lin seems more confident with life and his business. He is indebted to the local community and he donated 10,000 dollars for appreciation of their kindness. He is dedicated to do better to serve the local diners.
